The special passenger train services mostly come under the administration of the Eastern and South-Eastern railway zones – headquartered in West Bengal. According to recent statements issued by the South Eastern railway zone, the train services, including passenger DEMU trains, have been cancelled or temporarily suspended due to Cyclone Yaas. On May 22, the South Eastern railways zone cancelled 78 special train services due to the cyclone.
